Dental Fillings
-
Any breakdown or hole in primary or permanent tooth leads to more accumulation of food and accelerates decay progression.
-
If the decay has not reached the pulp (nerve), the tooth can be treated by dental fillings.
-
A dental restoration/ filling is a treatment done to restore the function, integrity and form of missing tooth structure resulting from caries or any injury.
-
It is a simple procedure in which the cavity is cleaned to remove the decay, debris and bacteria. This is followed by placement of a high quality tooth coloured filing material like GIC or Composite, depending on the size and area of the cavity.
